The Business Improvement District (BID) Council surveyed 50,000 San Diego businesses and found that most lacked health insurance. In response, the BID Council sponsored the City Care Benefit Trust.

The BID Council is proud to be the first in the nation to create a program that collectively negotiates for all small businesses, bringing health care and other large company benefits to people that otherwise may have been unable to obtain these benefits.

City Care Benefit Trust is an insurance cooperative that provides a full range of health, vision and dental benefits to San Diego’s small business owners and their employees.
